Dr. Stephens remained stationed at Fort Stewart until 2017 when he was assigned to Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington State. He surpassed his military obligation and was promoted to the rank of Major. Despite Dr. Stephens’ exceptional experience with the military, he decided with his family to return home to Georgia, where they have settled permanently.
